Description

Open Space Signal is a range of Sturmanskie watches created on the basis of the unique Soviet Poljot 2612 calibre with a signal function. This limited edition timepiece is considered a collector’s item. Do not deny yourself the pleasure of becoming the owner of a legend. This watch is a true embodiment of the Soviet classics. Its minimalist design is emphasised by its understated colour scheme: the white watch face is ideally matched with the dark brown leather strap and the polished steel case. The indices and hands on the large dial are luminous, perfectly legible even in complete darkness. The movement has a power reserve of 31 hours.

About Sturmanskie

The Russians were the first to explore space on 12 April 1961 when cosmonaut, Yuri Gagarin, orbited the Earth in his Vostok-1 for one hour and forty-eight minutes. On his wrist, he wore a Sturmanskie watch, the first special timepiece in the world designed and manufactured to go in to space.

Withstanding the severe conditions of zero gravity, strong accelerations, unpredictable vibrations, and varying temperatures, Sturmanskie was the first brand to make astronomical feats in the watch world.

Its innovation was owed to the nautical and aviation chronometers originally developed for the Military Air Forces and Navy by the First Moscow Watch Factory.

The brand Sturmanskie was first launched in 1949. Back then, it was exclusively available for the Armed Forces and Navy of the USSR. It was only in 1983 that Sturmanskie watches were made available to the general public.

Sturmanskie designs continue to be inspired by and pay homage to new frontiers, adventure and exploration.
