Even the Swiss watch caliber built into the men's chronograph Zeppelin LZ 127, the quartz-controlled Ronda 5020.B, convinces with its sophisticated functionality. Continuous seconds measurement on the big hand, combined 30-minute / 12-hour measurement on the left totaliser, small second right and big date on the six. White hour and minute hands, number of hours, round instruments and tachymetric scale in beige, bright at night. Clearly arranged on a deep black dial and set in a highly polished, handcrafted stainless steel case, the bezel of which is based on the Zeppelin airship tire. When Count von Zeppelin ascended for the first time with his LZ 1 in 1900, he was unquestionably happy to be able to use such a precise chronograph for timekeeping, especially since its timeless design language was just as appealing over 100 years ago as it is today is.
The parent company POINTtec came to be in 1987 by Wilhelm Birk and soon took off as a well-recognized brand. After initial success with brands like Maximilian Munchen and Junkers, POINTtec launched Zeppelin watches in 2002. The Zeppelin brand looked towards the pioneers of early aviation.
