Inspired by America’s first two-door sports wagon that was initially intended as a luxury compact family car, the Chevrolet Nomad quickly grew to become a favourite among the Californian surfer community. Surfers would cruise in a Nomad from Los Angeles to ride the waves on the beaches of Santa Cruz. The Gorilla Fastback GT Nomad attentively takes all of its histories into account and the nostalgia that comes with it to evoke the same spirit of the iconic car.
Featuring a walnut brown ceramic bezel that resembles the most common version of the automobile, the Gorilla Fastback GT Nomad’s main highlight is its radial brushed baby blue dial, resembling the beautiful waves of the Pacific California coastline –it will instantly draw anyone’s attention to the face of the ensemble that includes a skeletonized hour disc & minute hand, filled with Super-Luminova™.
This is further complimented with a brown Viton™ and perforated cowhide leather and rubber hybrid strap. The Gorilla Fastback GT Nomad is powered by a self-winding Miyota 90S5 movement with a personalized oscillation weight. This can be seen through its sapphire crystal open titanium case back with an engraved collection name so you can appreciate all that goes into the makings of a watch.
