The BEAUBLEU Seconde Française officially nominated at the GPHG

It's official, the “Seconde Française White Ivory” model has been nominated for the 2024 Grand Prix d'Horlogerie de Genève (GPHG). A great recognition for the Maison which is proud to represent French creativity in this international competition.

The Oscar of Watchmaking

Without question, the GPHG is to watchmaking what the Oscars are to cinema. It aims to celebrate the excellence of contemporary watchmaking each year, while contributing to the global influence of this great artform.

This prestigious competition gathers several hundred watches launched during the year, awarding them in various categories: Tourbillon, Calendar and Astronomy, Chronograph, Sport, Petite Aiguille, or Challenge, to name just a few.

From its first collection (B01), Beaubleu had already caught the attention of the GPHG academy members, composed of experts, prominent collectors, and watchmakers from around the world. But for this 2024 edition, Beaubleu has captivated the handpicked jury with its new creation.

Beaubleu in the running

Beaubleu's Seconde Francaise White Ivory is, for the first time in its history, among the 6 watches nominated in the Challenge category, specifically dedicated to watches with a retail price not exceeding 3,000 CHF .

"At Beaubleu, our ambition has always been to create watches that do more than just tell the time; they tell a real story. The Seconde Française perfectly embodies this vision. This nomination validates our ability to captivate by flirting with both design and technique, two essential pillars of our creative approach." Nicolas Pham, founder of the Maison .

The Challenger that’s making some noise

Imbued with a gentle hint of nostalgia, the Seconde Française reference 19.24 stands out with its classic instrumental aesthetic. Designed as if it had been created in the last century, it nods to an imaginary past of the Maison Beaubleu.

Housed in a 39 mm diameter case alternating between polished and brushed surfaces, the crown is hidden under the case at three o'clock to maintain overall symmetry and highlight the dial. The dial, whether grained or enameled, features a delicate railroad track scale and Indo-Arabic numerals; all topped with a double-domed sapphire crystal.

The hands, reinterpreted in the style of leaf hands from the past, sweep across the surface with enhanced precision. The second hand - floating - suspended within the watch, completes the picture and stands out with an elusive charm.

Limited at 888 pieces.

Thanks to this esteemed selection, the 19.24 will be available in stores at www.redarmywatches.com.my
