The Shanghai Watch Originate · Fangyu Grey takes the architectural concept behind the Fangyu collection and strips it back to its most understated expression.

Inspired by Shanghai’s historic Bund City Hall Plaza, the unusual 38mm square case echoes the geometry of the building’s enclosed courtyard. Straight edges transition into gently curved corners, creating a silhouette that sits somewhere between strict geometry and organic form.

The monochromatic grey dial suits that architectural approach particularly well. Its textured surface plays subtly with changing light, while slim baton markers and sword-shaped hands maintain a clean, balanced composition. At 3 o’clock, a framed date window adds everyday functionality without distracting from the dial.

A Shanghai ST2130 automatic movement sits inside, delivering approximately 42 hours of power reserve. Turn the watch over and the movement can be viewed through its transparent caseback.

Finished with a tonal grey Alcantara® strap, Fangyu Grey is perhaps the most restrained member of the collection — a watch where shape, proportion and texture do most of the talking.
