AZIMUTH X GARFIELD BACK IN TIME!
From Azimuth Watch Co. comes the latest limited edition timepiece in the form of another playful Azimuth and Garfield collaboration. The new 100 piece limited edition, called the BITCOIN PIZZA is not only the latest in a line of commemorative timepieces from Azimuth Watch Co. - It also builds on the success of the Back In Time (BIT) movement, and has been lauded for its simple complexity. This means that the new watch will also feature the reverse placement of the numerals, while the hands move in an anti clockwise fashion.
BITCOIN PIZZA marries and intertwines the concept of Azimuth's BIT movement, used in a timepiece used to commemorate Bitcoin Pizza Day (a nod toward Laszlo Hanyecz's supposed original use of Bitcoin in a pizza transaction), featuring Garfield, a pop culture icon closely associated to the idea of Pizza - Garfield's favourite food was actually Lasagna, but creator Jim Davis has since said that he'd wished he had made Garfield's favourite food to be Pizza. All in all, this is shaping up to be a real conversation piece for watch enthusiasts and pop culture lovers alike.
BITCOIN PIZZA will come with a SW220 automatic with an in-house modified mechanism, encased in a 42mm German bronze and is water resistant to 3ATM. The watch will be equipped with a 22mm calf leather strap with matching bronze buckle, with a Mother-of-Peal dial. The watch is limited to 100 pieces
