Laco presents the limited Augsburg Grün 39 and Aachen Grün 39 models 

With the "Augsburg Grün 39” and "Aachen Grün 39", German watch manufacturer Laco introduces its popular green classics in a new, more compact size. Following the success of last year’s 42mm edition, which is already completely sold out, the 39mm version now takes the stage – strictly limited to just 250 pieces each. These new timepieces continue the series of colorful limited editions, which in the past has included models in olive, green, taupe and a radiant white.  

At the heart of these new models lies the dark green dial, combining energy, elegance, and a sporty touch. Its appearance feels fresh and contemporary, while remaining unmistakably true to the tradition of classic pilot watches. The Augsburg Grün 39 follows the purist Type A dial, with hour, minute, and central seconds hands ensuring clarity and quick legibility. The Aachen Grün 39, on the other hand, features the technically inspired Type B dial: with minutes placed on the outer ring and the hour display at the center, it conveys a more distinctive and functional character. 

The 39 mm stainless steel case impresses with a harmonious combination of brushed surfaces and a polished bezel, lending the overall design an elegant touch. The distinctive crown recalls the robust aesthetics of historic observation watches, while the stone-gray vintage-style leather strap creates a modern contrast. A green stitching detail subtly echoes the dial color, giving the models a balanced and cohesive character.  

The silver-framed hands add a fresh accent and pick up on the polished elements of the case. Together with the bright white numerals and indices, they are coated with Superluminova C1 to ensure optimal legibility in every situation whether in daylight, at dusk, or in complete darkness. Even in the more compact size, the models present themselves as true pilot watches, uniting functionality and style.  

Inside, the automatic Laco 2S movement (based on the Miyota 82S0) ensures reliability and precision. For enthusiasts who appreciate additional refinement, an upgrade to the Laco 31 (based on the Miyota 8315) is available, showcased through the generous sapphire crystal case back. This movement not only offers an extended power reserve of over 60 hours, but also features thermally blued screws that highlight its mechanical character.  

The new Augsburg Grün 39 and Aachen Grün 39 combine a bold color statement with fine details and authentic pilot watch DNA in a compact format. Strictly limited to 250 pieces each and individually numbered on the case back, they are not only stylish companions on the wrist but also sought-after collector’s items.
