The OD-1 (ONE) collection draws inspiration from Stanley Kubrick’s Space Odyssey and related science fiction objects. The outstanding design feature of OD-1 is without a doubt the matte black cross bar on its dial. This cross bar intertwines with the open space of a metal plate that it sits on and the rotating discs for time reading. For those in the know, parallels can be drawn between this aspect of OD-1’s design and Kubrick’s Space Station V.
Turn the watch around and you will find your eyes drawn to two things: the specially designed custom gold-plated rotor, visible through the exhibition caseback; and an engraved quote from the father of science fiction.
