The Shanghai Watch Originate · Fangyu Green draws inspiration from the architectural geometry of Shanghai’s historic Bund City Hall Plaza. Its distinctive form takes cues from the building’s enclosed courtyard, translating straight lines, softened corners and balanced proportions into a contemporary mechanical watch.

At 38mm, the square 316L stainless-steel case has presence without feeling oversized. Rather than relying on a conventional square silhouette, Fangyu uses gently curved corners and layered surfaces to create a shape that reveals more of its architecture from different angles.

The green dial brings another dimension to the design. Fine texturing adds depth beneath slender baton markers, while sword-shaped hour and minute hands and a lollipop seconds hand introduce subtle neo-classical character. A date display at 3 o’clock keeps the watch practical for everyday wear.

Inside is the Shanghai ST2130 automatic movement, offering approximately 42 hours of power reserve and visible through the exhibition caseback. A matching green Alcantara® strap completes the design with a softer, more contemporary texture.

Rooted in Shanghai but designed for today, Fangyu Green turns the architecture of the city into something that can be worn on the wrist.
