A Mechanical Sky at the Centre

The Shanghai Watch THE BUND Dome Aventurine takes the architectural concept of the Dome collection and gives it a celestial character through a deep blue aventurine dial.

Inspired by the symmetrical, upward-reaching structure of an architectural dome, the design places the mechanical heart of the watch directly at its centre. Shanghai Watch’s F28 “Sky Wheel” movement positions the oscillating balance prominently above the dial, allowing its rhythmic motion to become an integral part of the watch’s visual identity.

Surrounding the central balance is a blue aventurine dial, whose naturally shimmering appearance evokes a night sky scattered with points of light. As the watch moves on the wrist, the surface catches the light differently, creating a constantly changing backdrop for the exposed mechanics.

The 43mm case is crafted from 316L stainless steel and measures 14.5mm thick. A domed sapphire crystal reinforces the sculptural quality of the design, while the stainless-steel exhibition caseback provides another perspective on its mechanical construction.

At its heart is Shanghai Watch’s F28 automatic mechanical movement. The 34-jewel calibre operates at 21,600 vibrations per hour (3 Hz) and delivers up to 45 hours of power reserve.

Finished with a black leather strap, the THE BUND Dome Aventurine combines architecture, mechanics and a richly textured dial in one of Shanghai Watch’s most visually distinctive contemporary designs.
