STURMANSKIE GAGARIN HERITAGE 2609/9045925

3,240.00 MYR

The thin bezel reveals the dial face, also sphere- shaped, as if retracing the glass. The clear and legible minute scale extends beyond the visible area of the dial, emphasising the elegance of the bezel. The digit scale on the dial is a distinctive feature of this model; its design has not changed since the very first Gagarin series. The austere, long, curved hands complete the design of the watch and the collection while keeping the piece very functional. The conical crown with convenient notches replicates the original model design. The 2022 limited edition 999 pieces is made of 904L steel; each case is individually numbered and stamped STEEL 904 on the back of a lug.

ABOUT STURMANSKIE

The Russians were the first to explore space on 12 April 1961 when cosmonaut, Yuri Gagarin, orbited the Earth in his Vostok-1 for one hour and forty-eight minutes. On his wrist, he wore a Sturmanskie watch, the first special timepiece in the world designed and manufactured to go in to space.
Withstanding the severe conditions of zero gravity, strong accelerations, unpredictable vibrations, and varying temperatures, Sturmanskie was the first brand to make astronomical feats in the watch world.
Its innovation was owed to the nautical and aviation chronometers originally developed for the Military Air Forces and Navy by the First Moscow Watch Factory.
The brand Sturmanskie was first launched in 1949. Back then, it was exclusively available for the Armed Forces and Navy of the USSR. It was only in 1983 that Sturmanskie watches were made available to the general public.
Sturmanskie designs continue to be inspired by and pay homage to new frontiers, adventure and exploration.
