STURMANSKIE OPEN SPACE DAY-DATE NH36/1899773B

2,700.00 MYR
The Open Space Day-Date Automatic line is a new interpretation of the classical watch. The collection is distinguished by a modern design with complex lines and shapes, a functional dial showing the time, the date and day of the week, and a reliable mechanical Seiko NH36 calibre with automatic winding. A stylish model for reserved and calm men with a strong character. The rose-gold steel bracelet matches the white dial perfectly. The markers and hands are luminous – they glow in the dark, so the watch can be used at night. The dial is covered with a convex mineral crystal, resistant to scratches and abrasions. The back cover is decorated with an engraved image of an astronaut on a spacewalk inspired by Alexei Leonov.

ABOUT STURMANSKIE

The Russians were the first to explore space on 12 April 1961 when cosmonaut, Yuri Gagarin, orbited the Earth in his Vostok-1 for one hour and forty-eight minutes. On his wrist, he wore a Sturmanskie watch, the first special timepiece in the world designed and manufactured to go in to space.
Withstanding the severe conditions of zero gravity, strong accelerations, unpredictable vibrations, and varying temperatures, Sturmanskie was the first brand to make astronomical feats in the watch world.
Its innovation was owed to the nautical and aviation chronometers originally developed for the Military Air Forces and Navy by the First Moscow Watch Factory.
The brand Sturmanskie was first launched in 1949. Back then, it was exclusively available for the Armed Forces and Navy of the USSR. It was only in 1983 that Sturmanskie watches were made available to the general public.
Sturmanskie designs continue to be inspired by and pay homage to new frontiers, adventure and exploration.
