Danish brand REC Watches presents the P-51 Eleanor, a Limited Edition timepiece incorporating metal from the trunk let of a 68 Mustang Fastback that was transformed into the Eleanor in 2017. The trunk let removed and changed from the 68 Mustang, in the process of transforming her into Eleanor, was then given a new life. After the paint was removed from the Eleanor trunk let, we managed to punch 498 dials, all of which were coated with a clear lacquer to make sure the original patina of this 51year old legend stayed intact and visible. Centered around the recycled dial, their ambition was then to create a watch that honored the same design principles that made the Eleanor such an icon.

316L PVD steel case 44 mm in diameter strongly inspired by the lines of the iconic Ford Mustang Eleanor. Smooth black PVD steel bezel. The crown is designed to reflect the fuel cap on the Mustang GT500.
Metal dial handcrafted from a recycled Ford Mustang 1968 Eleanor. Each dial is covered with a layer of semi-transparent gray lacquer, ensuring that the patina does not spread to other parts of the watch, it ensures uniqueness in each P-51 piece because each dial is unique.
The midday power reserve disc is created to resemble the fuel gauge of a Mustang. But while on the classic Mustang the E (empty) indicator is on the left, it was reversed on the P-51 due to the mechanical movement.
The black central dial with three hands and date is inspired by the dashboard of the Ford Mustang.
Each P-51 watch is engraved with the unique vehicle identification number (VIN) and the year of the recovered Mustang that was used to make the P-51 watch, which can be found on the back of the watch, up to 498 copies. .
Screwed steel back with mineral glass revealing the oscillating weight which takes up the design of the rims which were presented on the first Mustang Eleanor of 1968.
